Deniz Service is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Procurement Specialist to join our team in Baku.
The successful candidate will manage client requests from supplier sourcing and quotation analysis through to the preparation and submission of commercial offers.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate local and international suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery, and risk criteria.
Develop sourcing strategies and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Conduct commercial evaluations of supplier quotations, comparing prices, technical compliance, availability, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and favourable delivery, payment, and other commercial terms.
Explore alternative suppliers and suitable product equivalents in coordination with technical specialists.
Obtain required technical documentation, certificates, country-of-origin information, HS codes, and shipping details.
Prepare cost calculations, including estimated freight and other logistics costs, customs duties, and other applicable expenses, and calculate selling prices and profit margins in line with company guidelines.
Prepare and submit quotations, commercial offers, tender documents, and all required supporting documentation.
Communicate with clients regarding clarifications, offer revisions, and commercial terms, and follow up on submitted proposals.
Maintain accurate records of quotations, calculations, correspondence, and request status in company systems.
Coordinate the handover of confirmed orders to the team responsible for order execution, ensuring all agreed terms and supporting documents are complete.
Perform other related duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
University degree in business, economics, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, sales, or tendering, preferably within industrial supply or trading.
Practical experience in supplier sourcing, commercial evaluation, and preparation of client quotations.
Ability to calculate total costs, selling prices, and profit margins accurately.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel; advanced Excel skills are essential.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Azerbaijani, Russian language skills are an advantage.
Good understanding of Incoterms, international shipping, and customs procedures.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and business communication skills.
Ability to understand product specifications and technical documentation, with specialist support where required.
A proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
