IRES is recruiting an experienced Offshore Mechanic Foreman for an offshore construction project in the Oil & Gas industry.
Location: Offshore Construction Vessel
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the offshore mechanical maintenance team.
Ensure proper maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment.
Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and minimal downtime.
Monitor equipment performance and report technical issues to the Vessel Equipment Engineer.
Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, permit-to-work, and isolation procedures.
Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA), where required.
Manage spare parts, maintenance records, and equipment-related costs.
Supervise maintenance personnel and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Maintain safe, clean, and organized working areas.
Requirements
Technical education in a relevant discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position on an offshore construction vessel in the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
Proven experience supervising mechanical maintenance teams.
Good understanding of offshore HSE standards and maintenance procedures.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Fluent English and Azerbaijani are mandatory.
