What to check when buying a phone?
Most second-hand phone problems come from these six points — check them all before you meet.
IMEI and registration
Dial *#06#, take the IMEI and check official registration (operator / e-gov). An unregistered phone can be blocked on the network after 30 days — a low price does not cover that risk.
Battery health
On iPhone: Settings → Battery → Battery Health (below 85% means a replacement soon). On Android: *#*#4636#*#* or AccuBattery. A battery swap costs 80–150 ₼ and affects the price.
Original or replica
Check the serial number on the maker’s site (Apple “Check Coverage”, Samsung IMEI service). If the screen or camera was replaced, the system shows a genuine-part warning. A box and receipt in photos prove nothing.
Storage and configuration
128 GB is today’s minimum; stepping up to 256 GB usually costs 100–200 ₼ and adds two years of life. Verify the “256GB/8GB” from the title in the device settings — configurations are often listed wrong.
Is the price in line with the market
Every listing shows a “market price” line — a comparison with the median of other offers for the same model. More than 30% below the median usually signals a problem: unregistered, locked (iCloud/Google), water damage or a replica.
