A «moyka aparatı» — the Azerbaijani everyday name for a pressure washer used on cars, yards and terraces — uses an electric pump to multiply the pressure of mains water and push it out as a narrow jet. For home use, the choice comes down mainly to three figures: pressure (bar), water flow (litres per hour) and the pump material. An entry-to-mid-range model is enough for a car and garden furniture; for stone yards, facades and frequent use, get a stronger model with a metal pump.

What is a «moyka aparatı»? A note on the word
«Moyka», borrowed from Russian, has two meanings in everyday Azerbaijani: a washing machine for cars and yards, and a kitchen sink. The word «moyka» returns more than 900 listings on Prayk, but of the latest 300, 180 are in kitchen furniture and 17 in plumbing — so most sellers mean a sink. People also often call the device a «karçer». That is the name of the German manufacturer Kärcher, but in everyday speech it means a pressure washer of any brand.

Pressure (bar)
Bar shows how hard the water leaves the nozzle. The box often lists two figures — maximum pressure and working pressure; compare working pressure. A car does not need excessive power: very high pressure at close range can damage paint, rubber seals and the adhesive on number plates. For cleaning stone, concrete and moss between paving slabs, high pressure and a rotary (turbo) nozzle are useful.
Water flow (l/h)
Flow determines how quickly dirt is rinsed away. At the same pressure, a machine that delivers more water finishes faster. Compare pressure and flow together: looking only at bar is misleading, because a powerful machine with low flow "cuts" dirt but does not wash it away.
Power and motor
Power (watts) shows the load on your mains. If you will use an extension cable, make sure it is rated for that power and fully unwound — a coiled extension cable heats up. Higher-end models often have an induction (brushless) motor, which is quieter and lasts longer; the universal motor in entry-level machines is louder.
Pump
The pump is the heart of the machine. In the entry class, the pump head is often plastic; higher up it is metal (aluminium or brass). A metal pump copes better with heat and long sessions. Ask the seller what the pump is made of and check the manufacturer's official specifications. Where will the water come from: tap, tank and filter
Most home models connect to a tap with a garden hose and need a certain inlet water pressure and a maximum inlet temperature — both figures are in the manual. In private houses, water often comes from a barrel or tank. In that case, check whether the machine can draw water from a container: models with this feature work with a filtered suction hose, while a machine without it can run dry and ruin its pump. A small inlet filter is worth fitting: sand and rust particles wear the pump valves quickly. Do not feed water hotter than the manual allows — most home models are designed for cold water.

Examples from listings: two listings named «Karcher K2 Universal» at 119.99 and 175.99 AZN, a K2 Classic at 219.99 AZN, a K3 Classic Car in two listings at 279.99 and 309.99 AZN, and a K5 Basic at 499.99 AZN. The gap between listings with the same model name is 30–56 AZN; it may depend on the seller and on what is in the box (nozzles, foam nozzle, hose length). Before buying, compare the part number (a code such as «1.673-000.0») and the included accessories.

The section list is not everything
The section shows 42 listings, but the whole catalogue has 393 listings with «yüksək təzyiqli» in the title; of the latest 300, 267 were placed not in a dedicated subsection but in the general «Products» category. This list includes accessories such as spray guns and hoses alongside the machines, which is why its median (224 AZN) is lower. So besides the section, type «yüksək təzyiqli» or a brand name into the search box. What to check when buying a used pressure washer
- Steady pressure. Connect it to water on the spot and run it: the jet should be even, the motor should stop when you release the trigger and restart when you squeeze it. If it keeps switching on and off by itself with the trigger released, water is leaking somewhere.
- Leaks. Nothing should drip from the pump or connections; oil under the body may mean worn pump seals.
- Frost damage. A machine stored in freezing conditions without draining can have a cracked pump — look for cracks and leaks on the body.
- Hose and gun. The hose should have no bulges or kinks, and the gun connection no leaks.
- Electrics. The cable, plug and switch must be intact; be careful if the cable has been "repaired" with insulating tape.
- Accessories. Are the nozzles, rotary nozzle and foam nozzle there? Buying them separately adds cost.
- Documents. The receipt, warranty card, model and part number will help when you look for spare parts.
Safety and care
Never aim the jet at people, animals, sockets or electrical appliances. Plug the machine into an earthed socket; when working outdoors, a residual-current device (RCD) on the circuit is especially important. Keep extension cable joints away from water and off the ground. After use, switch the machine off, squeeze the trigger to release residual pressure, then disconnect the hose. In winter, store it somewhere frost-free with the water drained. Use detergents only through the foam nozzle or tank designed for the machine — unsuitable chemicals can damage the pump seals.
