Calculated using the tariffs of the Law on State Duty in force since 2022. The final amount is confirmed by the DYP registration office; insurance, bank and agent fees are not included.
How it is calculated
- 1. The engine size determines the tariff step (see the table).
- 2. The tariff is multiplied by the age coefficient: under 4 years — 1.0; 4–10 years — 0.8; over 10 years — 0.3.
- 3. The additional fees you select (certificate, plate, inspection — 30 ₼ each) are added.
FAQ
- Who pays the fee — the buyer or the seller?
- The law does not say — the parties agree. Usually the buyer pays for registering the contract and the new documents.
- Is this amount due when gifting or selling to a close relative?
- No. This tariff covers ordinary sales between individuals; the fee between close relatives is lower. Check the exact amount with the DYP.
- What about electric and hybrid cars?
- The tariff depends on engine size. For a hybrid, enter the combustion engine size from the papers; for a fully electric car, check the amount with the DYP.
- Does it apply to motorcycles, trucks and buses?
- No — the calculator is for passenger cars only. Other vehicles have separate flat fees in the law.
