Type the licence plate — and land straight on the listing

You recognise a car by its plate but don't know the make and model? Looking for the listing of that car parked by the road with a "For sale" sign? Prayk has licence plate search — just type the plate into the search box.

The index is built from titles and from photos

Plates in the car section are indexed separately. If the plate is written in the title, it is taken from there; if it isn't — and in most listings it isn't — the system looks at the listing's photos and reads the text off the plate itself. Today the index holds more than 8,700 plates, and new ones keep arriving.

Formatting doesn't matter

Write it however you like: 20-BE-102, 20 be 102, 20BE102 — all give the same result. The system also allows for lookalike characters (O and 0, I and 1), so a single misread character from a photo doesn't break the search.

Don't remember the whole plate? Search a fragment: a prefix like 10-SR or an ending like SR-685 works too.

Nothing found? Put it on watch

If the plate you need isn't on the site yet, the Watch button on the results page queues it up. The moment a listing with that plate is published, you get a notification — no need to check by hand every day.
