How much iPhone 18 Pro costs in Azerbaijan: official stores, market listings and a cheaper iPhone 17 Pro

Apple unveiled iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on 9 September 2026, and official sales in Azerbaijan began on the night of 24–25 September. The main question about the new model has not changed: how much does it cost, and where is it cheaper to buy? We summarise what Apple announced and add a snapshot from the Prayk price monitor — official stores and market listings.
What Apple announced
According to the company's official announcement, the headline changes in the Pro line are:
- A20 Pro chip — built on a 2-nanometre process.
- 48MP main camera with variable aperture — a six-blade mechanism adjusts how much light reaches the lens. It is the first time an iPhone has had one.
- Battery — up to 36 hours of video playback on iPhone 18 Pro and up to 45 hours on Pro Max; wired charging reaches 50% in around 15 minutes.
- Dynamic Island — can show three Live Activities at once.
- Colours and storage — black, silver, glacier and burgundy; 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB.
In the United States the price starts at $1,199 for iPhone 18 Pro and $1,299 for Pro Max — each model is $100 dearer than last year's predecessor. At the same event Apple showed its first foldable phone, iPhone Duo: according to published details, it has a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer one, starts at $1,999 in the US and goes on sale on 23 October. Its price for Azerbaijan is not known yet: the model already appears in the official catalogue we track, but without a price. A standard iPhone 18 was not presented at this event.
Official store prices in Azerbaijan
Before sales started, prices of 6,199–8,999 AZN were circulating on social media as «pre-order» offers; iSpace, one of Apple's official sales partners, called those claims unfounded at the time. The actual official prices turned out to be much lower. The lowest prices in the official store catalogues tracked by our price monitor are:
| Storage | iPhone 18 Pro | iPhone 18 Pro Max |
|---|---|---|
| 256GB | 3,589.99 AZN | 3,879.99 AZN |
| 512GB | 4,129.99 AZN | 4,399.99 AZN |
| 1TB | 5,229.99 AZN | 5,519.99 AZN |
| 2TB | 6,949.99 AZN | 7,229.99 AZN |
The 256GB iPhone 18 Pro costs the same in the Kontakt Home, Baku Electronics and İrşad catalogues — 3,589.99 AZN; at World Telecom it is 3,999 AZN. At the time of the snapshot, all four Pro Max storage options were listed only in the Kontakt Home catalogue.
For comparison: $1,199 at a rate of 1 USD = 1.70 AZN is roughly 2,038 AZN, so the starting price in Azerbaijan is about 76% higher than in the US. One caveat: the US price excludes sales tax, while the retail price in Azerbaijan includes VAT.
What market listings show
In listings outside the official store catalogues, the picture depends on the model. Median asking prices across listings from the past seven days:
| Model | Official store | Market median | Listings | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro 256GB | 3,589.99 AZN | 3,299 AZN | 86 | −8% |
| iPhone 18 Pro 512GB | 4,129.99 AZN | 3,998.50 AZN | 30 | −3% |
| iPhone 18 Pro 1TB | 5,229.99 AZN | 5,249 AZN | 9 | ≈ 0% |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB | 3,879.99 AZN | 3,999 AZN | 52 | +3% |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max 512GB | 4,399.99 AZN | 4,399 AZN | 36 | ≈ 0% |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max 1TB | 5,519.99 AZN | 5,849 AZN | 13 | +6% |
Two conclusions follow. iPhone 18 Pro is cheaper on the market: the median for the 256GB version is about 290 AZN below the official price. Pro Max is the opposite: the market is no cheaper than the official store, and the 256GB and 1TB versions are actually dearer — anyone looking for a Pro Max should check the official store catalogue first. There are no market listings for the 2TB versions yet. In total, 127 market listings were counted for iPhone 18 Pro and 105 for Pro Max.
These are asking prices, not closed deals. With a market listing, always ask the seller who provides the warranty and for how long — warranty terms may be what sits behind the price difference.
Beware of «iPhone 18 Pro» listings at 120–550 AZN
Over the past seven days the monitor set aside 6 listings with «iPhone 18 Pro» or «Pro Max» in the title and a price between 120 and 550 AZN as outliers and left them out of the statistics. Even the dearest of them is less than one sixth of the official price. A genuine new model does not sell for that: such a listing may be a replica, a down-payment amount or simply a mistyped price. Do not send a deposit before seeing the device, check the seller's number on the «Check a phone number» page, and run the device's serial number through the warranty check on Apple's official website.
iPhone 17 Pro is getting cheaper on the market
When a new model arrives, the market price of the previous generation is what moves most — and our daily snapshots show it clearly. The market median for the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro held at around 2,650 AZN on 12–23 September. On 25 September, the day sales started, it was 2,599 AZN (79 listings), and on 1 October it was 2,364.50 AZN (138 listings) — a drop of about 285 AZN, or 11%. The number of listings grew roughly 1.7 times in a week: more people are putting their old model up for sale. In official stores the lowest price has not changed — 2,949.99 AZN.
- iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB: the market median fell from 2,850 AZN (25 September, 79 listings) to 2,650 AZN (1 October, 128 listings); the lowest official store price went from 3,249.99 AZN to 3,199.99 AZN.
- iPhone 16 Pro 256GB: it has stayed at around 1,700 AZN since mid-September (1,699 AZN on 1 October, 51 listings) — the new model has not affected it so far.
A median depends on the mix of listings: as their number grows, the share of used devices changes too. So this figure is best read not as «every device became 11% cheaper» but as «the typical asking price on the market fell by 11%».
What this means for buyers and sellers
- Buying an iPhone 18 Pro? Compare the official store with the market: the gap on the 256GB version is about 290 AZN. You can browse offers through search or in the Smartphones section.
- Buying a Pro Max? Look at the official store price first: market offers are no cheaper.
- On a tighter budget? The 256GB iPhone 17 Pro is about 930 AZN cheaper on the market than iPhone 18 Pro, and its price has been falling in recent days.
- Selling your old iPhone? Before setting a price, check the market median for your model in the price monitor: the number of listings is growing, and a price well above the median may take longer to sell. We explained how the monitor works here.
