"Was it sold?" and the "Sale chance" score: two new tools for sellers

"Was it sold?" and the "Sale chance" score: two new tools for sellers

Two questions always stayed open for a seller: "what shape is my listing in, overall?" and "what is the real selling price on the market?". In September we added tools that answer both. Both are on the site and in the mobile app.

1. "Was it sold?"

Where: the dialog that opens in the cabinet when you stop (deactivate) a listing.

How it works: the question is simple — "Was it sold?". Choosing "Yes, I sold it" reveals one more field: "For how much?" (amount and currency). "No, I just stopped it" is recorded too — it is different from no answer, and only that difference shows what share of stops are real sales. If you made a mistake, answering again for the same listing corrects the previous answer.

Privacy: the figure you enter is shown nowhere — not on the listing, not on your profile. It is used only to refine market statistics. We say this openly because otherwise sellers either do not answer or deliberately enter a wrong number.

Why it matters: every market indicator on Prayk — medians, the "Average market price" badge, the value in My things — is built from asking prices, the amount the seller wants. The actual deal price existed nowhere in the system. And in practice a listing is stopped right after a sale — the most accurate moment to ask. The My things section shows a "Sold this year" summary: how many listings, the total amount, the average days to sell.

2. The "Sale chance" score

Where: the owner panel on your own listing page and the "Sale chance N" chip on listing cards in the cabinet.

How it works: the score starts at 100 and points are deducted for each shortcoming. The heaviest penalty is having no photo — clicks on a card depend on the picture; then no description, few photos, a price above the market median (the bigger the gap, the bigger the penalty), a short title, a short description, a listing not updated for more than 14 days. Few views count too, but lightly — that is a symptom, not a cause. Next to each penalty you see "+N points": you immediately know which fix pays the most. The suggested price is rounded to a human-looking figure (1,250 rather than 1,247).

The score is not a forecast — we do not claim a probability of sale; it is a quality measure of the listing. The thresholds are the same as in the "Listing doctor", so you will not see different verdicts in two places. About the Listing doctor: "How to write a good listing".

3. A push permission prompt at publish time

As soon as a listing is published, a line appears in the cabinet: "want to know when a buyer opens your number?". One click enables browser notifications — "your number was viewed", messages and comments arrive even when the site is closed. "Later" hides the line for a month; if permission is already granted or the browser does not support it, the line does not appear.

4. "Post another listing" in the phone-view notification

Under the "your number was viewed" notification there is now a link: "Post another listing". In our measurements a seller who gets a signal on their first listing posts a second one twice as often as one who does not — the link is at hand at exactly that moment.

What to do

Open your listings: the "Sale chance" chip on the card shows the weakest one. Open it and fix things in the "+N points" order. When stopping a sold listing, answer the question — it refines market prices for everyone.
