8 rules for a listing that sells fast (and what the Listing Doctor fixes)

Same item, same price: one listing sells in a day, the other sits for a month. The difference is almost always in the listing itself. The eight rules below come out of our own statistics — and Prayk checks most of them for you.
1. A listing with no photo gets almost no clicks
This is the undisputed rule number one. Without a picture the listing disappears in the list. Add at least 3–4 photos: the whole item, a detail, and the flaw if there is one.
2. Photos should be bright and real
A catalog image pulled off the internet kills trust. Shoot your own item in daylight — buyers want to see the actual thing. Don't hide defects: showing one in a photo is cheaper than arguing later.
3. Make the title specific
"Urgent sale!!!" says nothing. Put the make, model and key detail in the title: "iPhone 13, 128 GB, mint condition". Search reads titles — concrete words make a listing findable.
4. Let the description answer the questions
How long you've used it, why you're selling, what's in the box, whether you deliver — write that and half the calls disappear, while the other half come from serious buyers.
5. Check the price against the market
This is the highest-leverage item. As you type the price into the form, Prayk shows the market range of similar listings. A price above market doesn't make a listing invisible — it makes it unsellable. Set it around 10% below market and the listing automatically earns the "Good deal" badge and extra visibility.
6. Pick the right category
Nobody searches the wrong section. AI suggests the category for you — it is usually right, and arguing with it rarely pays.
7. Keep contact channels open
Response speed rises when both the number and chat are available. How your number is shielded from bulk harvesting is explained here.
8. Keep the listing alive
After a few days a listing slides down the list. Cutting the price, adding photos or bumping it brings it back up — try those before reaching for paid packages.
You don't have to check by hand
In your cabinet each listing carries a Listing Doctor: too few photos, a short title, no description, or a price a given percentage above market — it says which. Next to it sits an Improve with AI button: AI rewrites the title and description, you review and confirm.
