New: draw an area on the map, Telegram notifications and price per m² on cards — where to find them and how they work
Anyone looking for a home wants two things: the exact place and to hear about it in time. This week we shipped four features for exactly that — three are visible buttons and badges, the fourth is a set of ready-made search pages for people arriving from Google. Below we answer the same two questions for each: where do I find it and how does it work.
1. “Draw area” on the map
Where: on the Listings on the map page, the “Draw area” button to the right of the heading. In the mobile app the same button sits in the bottom-right corner of the map.
How it works: press the button, the map stops panning, and you trace the outline of the area you want with your finger (or the mouse on a computer) — a street, a block, a few buildings. When you lift your finger the outline closes and the map keeps only the listings inside it; the heading reads “In drawn area: N listings”. The map used to work with a rectangular frame only — picking a single street meant zooming in and out. Now you sketch the area yourself. The section chips (Real estate, Cars and so on) work together with the outline. To remove it, press “Clear area” and the map returns to normal.
Under the hood: your outline is simplified to at most 60 points, and the server checks precisely whether each listing’s coordinate lies inside it — not “roughly nearby”, but inside.
2. Telegram notifications
Where: in the cabinet, at the top of the Notifications section — the “Telegram notifications” card with the “Connect Telegram” button. In the mobile app the same card is on the notification settings screen.
How it works: the button opens Telegram with a chat to the Prayk bot; just press Start. The bot replies “account connected”, and the Prayk page refreshes itself to show the link — no codes to type, no phone number to enter. From then on a new listing matching your saved search, a hit in your Location Radar, a price drop on a favourite and offers on your request arrive straight in Telegram — every message carries an “Open on Prayk” button.
You choose what to receive: once connected, a “Telegram” column appears in the preferences table and every event group can be switched on or off separately. At most 40 messages go out per day. To stop, send /stop to the bot or press “Disconnect” in the cabinet.
3. Price per m² on the card
Where: on listing cards in the real estate section, a small grey figure next to the price — for example “2 155 ₼/m²”.
How it works: the listing price is divided by its area. The figure appears only on sale listings that state an area; it is not computed for rentals, because monthly rent divided by square metres tells you nothing. It is the fastest answer to “is this expensive or cheap?”: put two cards from the same district side by side and the difference is obvious at once. District averages live in the market prices section.
4. Ready-made search pages
Where: at the bottom of the Real estate section — the “Popular searches” list. Each link is a page with its own address, for example 2-room apartments for sale, 3-room apartments for rent, new-building apartments for sale, houses and villas for sale or daily-rent apartments.
How it works: the address itself is the filter: number of rooms, sale or rent, new or old building and property type are written straight into the link; when the page opens those filters are already applied and the number of active listings shows in the heading. Such a page is easier to bookmark, share and find in a search engine than a filter panel. At the bottom, “Related searches” — a different room count, operation or property type — are one click away.
Using them together
A typical flow: trace the block you want on the map, compare options by price per m², save the matching filters as a saved search and connect Telegram — from then on a message reaches your phone the moment a new listing appears.
