Seller badges: how trust is calculated and when a free bump arrives
The hardest part of buying online is not knowing the person on the other side. The badges on a Prayk seller's profile exist to close that gap — and the important bit is that they cannot be bought: each is computed from the system's own data.
What the badges mean
- Veteran seller — the account has been on Prayk for over a year. Not created yesterday.
- Experienced seller — has published at least 10 listings.
- Top seller — more than 50 published listings, which usually means regular trading.
- AI verified — several listings passed the AI check cleanly (title, description and category all line up).
- Highly rated — this one is for stores: a rating above 4.5 with at least three genuine reviews.
Badges are calculated at read time — they appear as soon as the condition is met and disappear if it stops being true. There is no application, no fee and no "verification" process.
What it means for a buyer
A badge is not a guarantee, it is a probability. A year-old account with 50 listings tells you this isn't a one-off seller and that they have a reputation to lose. The rule still stands: don't send money before you've seen the goods.
The free bump
When a listing reaches 500 views the system bumps it for free — back to the top of the list — and sends you a notification; at 1,000 views it happens again. A well-written listing that draws interest promotes itself, at no cost.
View milestones are also a plain signal: 500 views and no calls means the problem is the price. The statistics in your cabinet show that next to the number of phone reveals.
