The Products section has been rebuilt: one search panel for 343 thousand listings and the category's own schema

In September we rebuilt every root section of Prayk: each one now opens like a dedicated, specialised site. This post is about the largest of them, Products: it holds more than 343 thousand active listings today — one in every three listings on the site.
1. Navigating a large section
At the top of the page sits the section's own panel: a dark orange background, the section name, the number of active listings and the trail inside the section. The category chips under it always show the current level: main categories at the root, an "up" link plus children inside a subcategory, sibling categories on a leaf. In a section this size that is the most important change: you can move from level to level without unfolding the catalogue tree.
The chip order is not alphabetical: with more than eight categories it follows listing counts, so the fullest ones come first. Catch-all categories such as "Other" stay at the end even when they hold many listings — finding the right thing in them is hard, so they do not earn a place at the front of the row.
2. The search panel on a single surface
The panel is simple: keyword, city, price range and the "New / Used" tabs. The number of matching listings is shown above the button. The "More" button opens the current category's own attributes — material and dimensions in furniture, brand and warranty in appliances, size in clothing, and so on. Pick a make and the model list contains only that make's models.
This is the main difference from the old layout: filters used to sit both at the top and in the left column, and it was unclear which one was in charge. Now there is a single surface.
3. Filters now match the section
Products keep Delivery, Discount, Credit and "New / Used" — all of these are filled in on real listings. The "Good deals" key was removed: it compares a listing's price with the market median, and the median is currently computed only for cars and real estate. In Products the key therefore always returned nothing — rather than keep a broken-looking filter on screen, we took it out.
4. The site header becomes the section's menu
On a computer the top row changes when you open Products: the section badge and name appear next to the logo, and the second row replaces the general links with the section's categories. The search box at the top searches inside the section — a "Products ×" chip appears on the results page, and the cross widens the search to the whole site. The general links (Stores, Currency, Forum and the rest) stay in the "More" panel.
5. The mobile app works the same way
The section header, the search card and the section colour were ported to the mobile app. The fields on the search card open the existing filter sheet — the more natural pattern on a phone.
6. The page background carries the section colour
A small but noticeable detail: on a section page the content background also carries its shade, fading softly from top to bottom. With several tabs open you can tell at a glance which section you are in. Text contrast for every section colour in dark mode was measured separately.
What has not changed
The addresses are the same: /products and every subcategory open under their old links. Saved filtered links and favourites keep working.
To post a listing: the new listing form. What changed in the other sections: Smartphones, Cars and Real estate.
