Choosing a dishwasher: 60 cm, 45 cm or countertop — sizes and prices
Choosing a dishwasher starts with where it will go: with 60 cm of space in the kitchen, take a full-size model; with 45 cm, a slimline one; with no space at all, a countertop model. As of 27 September 2026, the median price of recent listings in Prayk's "Dishwashers" section is 700 AZN; machines marked as used sell for about 300 AZN, while new built-in models go for 930 AZN. Below are the types, place settings, the energy label, installation and how to check a used machine.
Short answer: as of 27 September 2026, dishwasher listings on Prayk have a median price of 700 AZN (half between 335 and 1,000 AZN). Listings marked as used have a median of 300 AZN and the rest (mostly store listings) 755 AZN; built-in models have a median of 930 AZN and freestanding ones 770 AZN. For a family of 3–4, a 60 cm machine with 12–14 place settings is the most versatile choice.
What types of dishwasher are there?

Each type comes as freestanding (with its own casing and top) or built-in (fitted inside the kitchen units; a fully integrated model takes a cabinet door panel on its front). A "place setting" is one person's set of dishes: plates, a cup and cutlery. Most families are fine with 12–14 place settings; a half-load programme lets you wash small loads economically.
How much does a dishwasher cost on Prayk?
The table is based on the 300 most recent listings in the "Dishwashers" section; spare parts, hoses, detergents, repair services and "wanted" posts were excluded (291 listings remained). The median is the middle price: half of the listings are cheaper, half are more expensive. "Middle half" is the range of the middle 50%.

About three quarters of the listings we measured come from stores, so new-machine prices are better represented. Only 6 listings each mentioned 45 cm or "countertop" in the title or description — we do not publish medians for them. Many listings do not state the width, so always confirm the size with the seller.
Energy label and noise: what to look for
Since 1 March 2021, dishwashers in the European Union carry a new energy label with classes from A (most efficient) to G; the old "A+++" scale is no longer used. So a "C" on the new label does not mean the machine is worse than an "A++" on the old one — compare within the same system. The label shows:
- energy consumption per 100 cycles of the eco programme;
- water used per eco cycle;
- maximum number of place settings;
- duration of the eco programme;
- noise level (dB) during the eco wash and the noise class.
According to the European Commission, an efficient dishwasher washes up to 15 place settings with about 9 litres of water, compared with around 20 litres when washing by hand. If your kitchen opens onto the living room or you plan to run the machine at night, pick a quieter model. Useful extras: half load, delayed start, a third basket for cutlery and leak protection.
What to consider when installing
- Dimensions. For a built-in model, measure the width of the recess (60 or 45 cm), its depth and height; exact figures are in the model's installation diagram.
- Water and drainage. It is easiest to place the machine next to the water supply and the sink trap — hose length is limited.
- Electricity. You need a dedicated earthed socket; do not use an extension lead.
- Salt and detergent. Most machines have a salt compartment that softens the water; use salt and tablets made for dishwashers.
- Installer. For built-in installation and fitting the door panel, technicians are listed under appliance repair and installation.
How to check a used dishwasher
- Age and model. Note the model and serial number from the label on the edge of the door and ask how many years the machine has been in use.
- Signs of leaks. Look under the machine and at the bottom edge of the door: there should be no rust, stains or limescale.
- Inside. There should be no smell, mould or rust on the tub and door; the filter at the bottom should come out for cleaning.
- Spray arms. They should spin freely and their holes should not be blocked.
- Baskets and seal. Basket wheels and rails should be intact, and the rubber door seal undamaged.
- Test run. If possible, run a short programme: the machine should fill, heat, wash and drain completely without showing error codes.
- Accessories. Check that the inlet and drain hoses and fitting parts are included.

A built-in model keeps the kitchen looking uniform but needs a recess and a door panel; new built-in models on Prayk have a median of 930 AZN. A freestanding machine is easier to place anywhere and take with you when moving; its median is 770 AZN.

Sources and methodology
The figures come from Prayk's public catalogue API on 27 September 2026: the 300 most recent listings in "Home appliances → Large household appliances → Dishwashers" (published 30 August – 26 September 2026). Spare parts, hoses, detergents, services and "wanted" posts, as well as listings under 60 AZN, were excluded, leaving 291 listings. The "used" segment was identified by phrases such as "işlənmiş", "az işlənib", "işləkdir" and "problemi yoxdur" in the title and description, and built-in and freestanding models by keywords as well, so the split is approximate. Medians and 25th–75th percentiles were calculated only from listings priced in AZN; we do not publish a median for segments with fewer than 15 listings.
