Personal account or store on Prayk: which one pays off for you?

If you sell your own things now and then, a personal account is enough: posting on Prayk is free and private users have no limit on the number of listings per section. If you sell regularly — you run a shop, a workshop or a service business — a store account gives you your own storefront, the "Store" badge, a chat inbox shared with your team and a base of followers. The plans differ only in price and included bumps, so for most small sellers Basic is enough.

Short answer: as of 22 September 2026 there are 5,430 stores on Prayk. In some sections most recent listings come from stores: 88% in Home Appliances, 83% in Furniture, but only 29% in Smartphones. Store plans: Basic — 20 AZN a month, Pro — 60 AZN a month (10 bumps a month included), Premium — 150 AZN a month (30 bumps a month); all three plans allow unlimited listings.

Personal account vs store: the key differences

Prayk has two types of seller: private users who post their own listings, and stores that work as a business storefront with their own catalogue, address and contacts. The differences in one table:

CriterionPersonal accountStore account
Posting listingsFree, no per-section limitFree; all three plans allow unlimited listings

Relationship with buyersUsually a one-off dealBuyers follow the store, leave reviews and get notified about new listings
Trust badges"Veteran" (over a year), "Experienced seller" (10+ listings), "Top seller" (50+), "AI verified"Plus "Highly rated": rating above 4.5 with at least 3 genuine reviews
CostsOnly optional promotion (from 0.50 AZN)Monthly plan of 20 / 60 / 150 AZN plus promotion if you want it

Either way, no commission is taken on sales: you deal with the buyer directly and the money never passes through Prayk.

Store share by section: who are you competing with?

One side of the "do I need a store?" question is competition. Among the latest listings in the Prayk catalogue, the share coming from stores varies sharply by section:

SectionListingsStore share of the latest 300Median price (middle half)
Home Appliances25,75488%140 AZN (80–249)
Furniture46,96483%270 AZN (149–450)
Goods (whole section)327,74961%39 AZN (14–120)
Phones & Gadgets6,98460%180 AZN (59–505)
Spare Parts & Accessories31,37043%140 AZN (55–352)
Smartphones18,46129%400 AZN (148–1,050)

In Home Appliances and Furniture buyers are already choosing between store storefronts: if you sell there regularly, a branded page, reviews and the "Store" badge put you on the same level as the competition. In Smartphones private sellers are still the majority — you don't need a store to sell a phone or two.

When does a store pay off?

  • You regularly sell the same kind of goods — new appliances, furniture, spare parts, handmade items. Followers hear about your new listings through notifications, so you don't start from zero every time.
  • Several people handle sales — with a shared inbox, customers aren't left without an answer when someone is on holiday.
  • Buyers ask "who are you?" — address, map pin, delivery and warranty terms and reviews sit on one page and cut down on calls.
  • You want recognition as a brand — the store page works as a mini-site built from blocks; no separate domain or hosting needed.

A personal account is enough if you sell your own things a few times a year, the item and its price attract buyers on their own and you don't need a separate storefront. If you need visibility in that case, promoting a single listing with a 7-day TOP package (2 AZN) or a one-off bump (0.50 AZN) is cheaper than buying a plan.

Store plans at a glance

Basic20 AZN/moUnlimited——
Pro60 AZN/moUnlimited105 AZN
Premium150 AZN/moUnlimited3015 AZN

All three plans include a store page, logo, cover image and the "Store" badge, and are paid from your balance. Current prices are always on the Pricing page — they may change. The rule of thumb: for most small sellers Basic is enough. Pro costs 40 AZN more than Basic and Premium 130 AZN more, while their included bumps are worth 5 and 15 AZN at the one-off price — consider a higher plan only if you'd buy that many bumps anyway.

How do you open a store?

  1. Sign in: email or phone number and the one-time code you receive — no password needed.
  2. On the website or in the mobile app, fill in the store application: company name and contacts, main business category, address on the map and a description.
  3. The application goes to moderation. The team manually checks that the name and contacts are real, the category fits, there are no prohibited goods or services, the description is clear and the map pin is correct. Once approved, the store becomes active and appears in the directory.
  4. In your account, pick the store and open the Page builder: logo, cover image, sections and blocks (how to build it).
  5. If needed, choose a plan — the amount is taken from your balance; if the balance is short, the system shows the missing amount and completes the purchase after payment.

Note: under the User Agreement, one user may have only one account unless the administration allows otherwise. You don't need a second account for the store — it is managed from your existing account. We explain how store chat works in this article and how badges are calculated here.

A short note on tax

Prayk is not a party to the deal and takes no commission on sales; under the Public Offer, taxes and other mandatory payments are the seller's own responsibility. When you move from occasional sales to regular trading, check your tax regime with the official source — the State Tax Service website. Our related article: the simplified tax threshold.

Frequently asked questions

Is opening a store on Prayk paid?

Submitting a store application costs nothing; the application goes through moderation. Monthly store plans are bought separately from your balance: Basic 20 AZN, Pro 60 AZN (10 bumps a month), Premium 150 AZN (30 bumps a month); all three allow unlimited listings.

Why isn't my store visible right away?

Prayk applies mandatory moderation to stores: the team checks every application by hand to make sure the contact details are real and no fake pages appear. As soon as the store is approved, it becomes active and shows up in the store directory.

How many listings can I post with a personal account?

Private users on Prayk have no limit on the number of listings per section, and posting is free. Store plans have no listing limit either — they differ only in price and the number of included bumps.

Can several employees work in one store account?

Yes. Store chat on Prayk is shared with the team: every store user sees the same inbox and replies go out in the store's name, so customers aren't left waiting when one employee is away.

Which plan should I choose?

For most small sellers Basic (20 AZN a month) is enough: every plan allows unlimited listings, and the only difference is the included bumps. Pro (60 AZN a month) gives 10 bumps and Premium (150 AZN a month) 30; at the 0.50 AZN one-off price that's 5 and 15 AZN worth. Choose a higher plan only if you'd buy that many bumps anyway.

Sources and methodology

The number of stores comes from Prayk's Stores page on 22 September 2026. Listing counts per section are exact totals from Prayk's public API; store share and median price were calculated from the 300 most recent listings in each section (a listing counted as a store listing if it is linked to a store; price statistics in AZN only). Plan prices and contents come from the pricing page, and the removal of listing limits on all plans from Prayk's decision of 22 September 2026; the store application and moderation process from Prayk's FAQ; details on the page builder, shared chat, badges and following from Prayk news; the one-account rule from the User Agreement and tax responsibility from the Public Offer.
