Tap.az alternative: where to post when your free limit runs out
Free listings on Tap.az are not unlimited: each category allows a set number of free ads per 30 days, and once you hit the limit the next ad is paid or you have to wait for a slot to free up. The simplest alternative in that situation is to post on another site without a limit. On Prayk, listings are free for private users and their number is not capped.
Short answer: on Tap.az you get 1 free ad per 30 days for cars and vacancies, 2 for property and 1–3 for electronics. When the limit runs out, you have three options: pay to post, wait for a free slot, or post on a site without a limit. On Prayk listings are free with no cap; there are over 327,000 listings in Goods, over 103,000 in Real estate and over 72,000 in Cars (22 September 2026).
Disclosure: this article was prepared by the Prayk team. Information about Tap.az comes from its own rules pages, linked at the end. Tap.az is the largest general classifieds site in Azerbaijan, and the best results usually come from posting on both sites in parallel.
How does the free limit work on Tap.az?
Tap.az counts free listings per category over a rolling 30-day window: ads you posted in that category in the last 30 days count towards the limit. The site does this to curb duplicate and suspicious listings. Once you reach the limit, you can publish with a paid service, or for free when a slot frees up in the category.
| Tap.az section | Free ads per 30 days | Matching Prayk section | Listings on Prayk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cars | 1 | Cars | 72,395 |
| Vacancies | 1 | Jobs | 17,529 |
| Property | 2 | Real estate | 103,344 |
| Electronics, phones | 1–3 | Smartphones, Goods | 18,461 smartphones |
| Services | 1 | Services, Craftsmen | 4,600 + 3,318 |
| Personal items, home and garden, hobbies | 5–10 | Goods | 327,749 |
The Prayk figures are all listings currently published in each section, including both users' own listings and listings collected from open sources (where the listings come from).
Three options when the limit runs out
1. Pay to post
On Tap.az the price of an over-limit listing and of paid services depends on the category. For example, a bump starts at 0.50 AZN, VIP for 1 day costs 2–3 AZN and Premium for 1 day 3–7 AZN. If you sell often, these costs add up over a month.
2. Wait for a free slot
When an old listing passes its 30 days, a slot frees up in the category and you can post a new ad for free. This works if you are not in a hurry, but the sale is delayed.
3. Post on a site without a limit
On Prayk, listings are free for private users with no per-category cap. Posting the same item on both Tap.az and Prayk widens your audience: different sites reach different buyers.
